Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates and budgets for mechanical works within MEP projects.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure compliance with project specifications and budget.
  • Monitor and track project costs, identifying and reporting any variances or cost overruns.
  • Support the procurement process by preparing tender documentation and evaluating bids.
  • Prepare interim payment applications and final accounts for mechanical works.
  • Conduct site measurements and verify work completed against contractual scope.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure commercial alignment and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage contractual claims, variations, and change orders efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, industry standards, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within MEP contracting environments.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools such as AutoCAD, Excel, and measurement tools.
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts (FIDIC knowledge is a plus).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with local construction regulations and MEP industry standards.
