WSP is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Reviewer to join our team for a prestigious airport project in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in mechanical design and supervision, with a strong background in reviewing HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems for large-scale infrastructure projects.

Your new role, what's involved?

• Review and validate mechanical design drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and local regulations.
• Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for design improvements and optimizations.
• Ensure coordination between mechanical and other engineering disciplines (electrical, civil, and structural) to avoid design conflicts and ensure seamless integration.
• Assist in resolving design issues by providing technical expertise and liaising with consultants and contractors.
• Provide technical support during construction, ensuring mechanical installations align with approved designs.
• Conduct quality checks and audits to maintain compliance with safety, performance, and sustainability standards.
• Work closely with the project team to ensure timely approval of design documents and smooth project execution.
• Participate in client and stakeholder meetings, offering expert insights on mechanical design aspects.
  
  

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical design and supervision, preferably in airport or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of international and local mechanical codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, Saudi Building Code, etc.).
• Experience in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building management systems (BMS) design.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, and CFD analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prior experience working with consultants and contractors on airport or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
