Leadership
- Lead and manage the travel services team to deliver high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused travel support.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to staff, fostering professional growth and ensuring performance excellence.
- Contribute to the development and execution of travel management strategies that align with the organization’s goals and budget objectives.
- Analyze travel data and spending trends to inform decision-making and enhance cost efficiency.
- Develop, implement, and maintain travel policies, systems, and procedures to ensure compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations.
- Regularly review and improve travel processes to enhance efficiency, traveler safety, and user satisfaction.
Travel Operations Oversight
- Manage and coordinate all domestic and international travel arrangements, including flights, accommodation, ground transportation, and visas.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective bookings, while optimizing travel routes and service quality.
- Oversee urgent and complex travel requests to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Negotiate and maintain contracts with travel agencies, airlines, hotels, and ground transport providers.
- Monitor vendor performance against agreed service-level agreements (SLAs) and take corrective action when required
- Manage the travel budget, ensuring expenses remain within approved limits while maximizing value for money.
- Track travel expenditures and produce regular reports for senior management.
- Implement and oversee travel risk management procedures to safeguard traveler safety.
- Ensure all travel activities are compliant with relevant policies, health and safety standards, and legal requirements.
- Maintain strong communication with department heads and travelers to understand requirements and ensure satisfaction.
- Prepare periodic travel performance reports, highlighting key metrics, trends, and improvement opportunities.
