Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager - Permitting to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage all permitting activities related to our large-scale development projects, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national regulations while facilitating the timely acquisition of necessary permits.

Your expertise will be critical in navigating the complexities of permitting processes, collaborating with various stakeholders, and advocating for our projects within the regulatory framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day coordination of permit applications, ensuring processes are followed and deadlines are met
  • Serve in a review / approval role to prepare key correspondence for Qiddiya Executive signature for select permit types
  • Contribute to the development of MOUs and framework agreements for permitting reviews for select entities, such as Riyadh Municipality, Civil Defence, MOMAH, MOMRAH, NCEC, GACA, MoT (Tourism)
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to gather data, conduct studies, and prepare documentation required for permitting
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, maintaining open lines of communication and managing expectations
  • Align Permitting Activities with fully-executed MOUs and framework agreements for permitting reviews
  • Identify and mitigate potential permitting risks, developing strategies to address and resolve issues proactively
  • Monitor changes in regulatory frameworks and stay informed about permitting best practices to ensure compliance
  • Facilitate public engagement efforts and address community concerns related to permitting processes
  • Maintain accurate records of all permitting activities, including timelines, applications, and correspondence
  • Conduct regular reviews of permitting strategies and processes, recommending improvements as needed
  • Lead training and development initiatives related to permitting for project teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
  • a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in permitting, land use planning, or regulatory compliance, preferably in large-scale development projects
  • Strong understanding of local, regional, and national permitting regulations
  • Proficiency in project management and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex permitting processes and navigate regulatory challenges
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices is a plus
