Role Main Purpose

Will be responsible to provide technical and operational expertise to manage and oversee Kidana’s fixed assets, including acquisition, tracking, depreciation, and disposal. And for maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing support for financial reporting.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end fixed asset management lifecycle, including acquisitions, capitalization, transfers, disposals, and impairments.
  • Lead the maintenance of the company’s fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Supervise the tagging and tracking of assets to ensure proper identification and integration with asset management systems.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor periodic physical verification of assets, ensuring reconciliation with the fixed asset register and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Review and approve monthly depreciation and amortization entries, ensuring accurate application of methods, useful lives, and residual values.
  • Monitor asset movements, revaluations, and impairments, ensuring timely updates and accurate financial impact.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls for asset management in compliance with IFRS and company standards.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Projects, and Operations teams to ensure proper capitalization and timely recording of completed projects as fixed assets.
  • Review and approve asset disposals or retirements, ensuring compliance with company policies, proper documentation, and accurate recognition of gain or loss.
  • Prepare and present detailed fixed asset reports, analysis, and reconciliations for management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Lead the preparation of audit schedules, support internal and external audit reviews, and ensure timely closure of audit findings related to fixed assets.
  • Drive system and process improvements to enhance asset tracking, reporting accuracy, and workflow automation.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the fixed asset accounting team, ensuring adherence to deadlines, accuracy, and continuous development.
  • Support management in strategic decision-making through analysis of asset utilization, capital expenditure trends, and lifecycle cost optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements governing asset management.

Educational Qualifications & Professional Certificates

  • Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Professional and Technical Certificates: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 8+ years’ experience.
