Job Purpose
Leads the development and execution of SOPC’s data strategy, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and IOC standards. This role maintains data integrity, supports robust governance, and delivers performance analytics and visualization to drive informed decision-making. Additionally, the manager collaborates with stakeholders to provide actionable insights, enhancing SOPC’s operational effectiveness through data-driven solutions.
Job Specific Accountabilities
Data Strategy and Alignment
Contribute to developing and overseeing SOPC’s data strategy, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, Olympic values, and IOC standards.
Integrate IOC-aligned performance metrics into BI reporting to contribute to broader Olympic initiatives.
Collaborate with IOC counterparts to share best practices, data methodologies, and insights, ensuring SOPC’s BI strategy aligns with global Olympic goals.
Data Management and Governance
Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of sports performance, athlete, and event data through effective data collection and quality management practices.
Implement and maintain robust data governance frameworks to establish a reliable foundation for analytical activities.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data management practices and recommend improvements as necessary.
Monitor and recommend improvements to data management and performance analytics processes
Performance Analytics and Reporting
Review comprehensive performance analytics and reporting, including the analysis of athlete performance, event outcomes, and operational efficiency.
Develop and monitor dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time insights and support data-driven decision-making.
Analyze global sports trends and competitive dynamics to generate strategic insights and recommendations for SOPC.
Data Visualization and Decision Support
Promote the utilization of advanced data visualization tools and automated reporting systems to support strategic decision-making and enhance competitive performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver tailored analytical solutions that drive effective decision-making.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Support
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align BI efforts with organizational objectives and deliver insightful, data-driven solutions.
Support data-driven strategic initiatives by providing clear, actionable insights that contribute to SOPC’s objectives.
