Job Purpose
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

Job Accountabilities
The Maintenance Operations Manager is advisor to the Maintenance Squadron Commander (MSC) and is responsible for providing advice on all Maintenance and Technical aspects of the SBDCP weapons platforms and systems deployed at King Abdul Aziz Airbase (KAAB).
This includes all decisions relating to the Safety and Continuing Airworthiness of the Fleet.
He is also responsible to the Senior Maintenance & Training Manager for providing functional direction and guidance, exercising duty of care, welfare and discipline of the CMS personnel
The role will work alongside a Maintenance Support Manager (MSM) who will provide support for all aspects of Maintenance and for the management and welfare of the CMS personnel

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
- Incumbent should have aircraft maintenance experience, in-Kingdom supervisory experience at Superintendent grade on Tornado.
- The job holder will have extensive experience associated with aircraft maintenance in the operational environment, with Tornado experience essential.
- The applicant must have attended a military command or staff training or equivalent commensurate to working with and giving advice to his counterpart.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent standard in an Aerospace or Engineering discipline.
- Proven management, leadership and administrative skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate problem solving abilities and set & direct work to a rapid and safe conclusion.
- Experienced in implementing continuous improvement by using systematic managerial techniques.
- Experienced in using manual and computerised records management and data collection.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of RSAF management principles as detailed in RSAF Instruction 4-7166-1 series.
- Must have a demonstrable ability for a high level of staff work, including staff papers, report writing, presentation delivery and be able to demonstrate the ability to prepare high quality RSAF correspondence for submission to senior higher level Head Quarters Staff.
- Must be computer literate and have a sound knowledge of the Microsoft office suite.
- Must be fully conversant with Miro Gold and Miro Gold procedures.
