Job Summary:
The Maintenance Coordinator oversees the planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance activities to ensure the optimal operation of equipment, facilities, and systems. This role ensures that maintenance tasks are performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain maintenance schedules, including preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with technicians, contractors, and vendors to execute maintenance tasks effectively.
- Prioritize work orders based on urgency and resource availability.
- Equipment and Facility Management:
- Monitor the condition of machinery, equipment, and facilities to identify potential issues.
- Ensure timely repairs and replacements to minimize downtime.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials required for maintenance.
- Recordkeeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment histories, and service reports.
- Generate reports on maintenance performance, costs, and compliance metrics.
- Update maintenance logs in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on safe work practices and emergency procedures.
- Vendor and Contractor Coordination:
- Liaise with external service providers for outsourced maintenance tasks.
- Review and approve contractor work to ensure it meets company standards.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to optimize service delivery.
- Team Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with operations and engineering teams to align maintenance activities with operational needs.
- Support the recruitment, training, and development of maintenance staff.
- Act as a point of contact for resolving maintenance-related issues promptly.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or certifications in maintenance management or a related field preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in maintenance coordination or a similar role.
- Familiarity with facility management and equipment maintenance processes.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in CMMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of maintenance best practices and regulatory requirements.
