Responsibilities

  • Logistics Operations Management:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily logistics operations, including the distribution of equipment and materials, ensuring they meet delivery schedules and minimize delays.
  • Manage vendor and carrier relationships for outbound transportation, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and delivery standards.
  • Optimize delivery routes and schedules to reduce fuel costs and improve delivery times.
  • Transport and Fleet Management:
  • Oversee a mixed fleet of company vehicles and third-party carriers, ensuring vehicles are well-maintained, legally compliant, and aligned with local transportation regulations.
  • Implement a preventive maintenance program across the entire fleet, with regular inspections to reduce downtime.
  • Manage the assignment and supervision of regular drivers and third-party contractors, conducting vehicle handover and receipt processes with accurate documentation.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of vehicle usage, repairs, and maintenance histories to support accountability and compliance with company policies.
  • Utilize government platforms, such as "Tam," "Absher," and "Efaa," for registration, driver authorization, and compliance tracking.
  • Vendor and Carrier Management:
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers and transportation vendors to ensure they meet company standards for service quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high service levels for outbound logistics.
  • Monitor third-party vendor performance and compliance with government regulations, addressing issues as needed to avoid delays.
  • Inventory and Stock Movement:
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team, to ensure accurate and efficient movement of stock across different warehouse locations.
  • Oversee the timely transfer of project materials and equipment to relevant sites or departments, minimizing logistical delays.
  • Team Supervision and Training:
  • Supervise logistics staff, including drivers, both regular and contracted, as well as warehouse personnel involved in logistics tasks.
  • Provide ongoing training to ensure staff understand logistics processes, safety protocols, and compliance standards.
  • Schedule logistics staff effectively to ensure sufficient coverage during peak periods and special projects.
  • Cost Control and Budget Management:
  • Monitor and control logistics expenses, including transportation, fuel, and third-party services, to maximize cost-efficiency.
  • Provide insights into the logistics budget, identifying opportunities for savings through route optimization and efficient fleet use.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation laws, safety regulations, and company standards across logistics operations.
  • Implement safety procedures for equipment and material handling, minimizing accidents and product damage.
  • Regularly monitor government regulations on transportation, ensuring the logistics team and third-party providers adhere to these requirements.
  • Process Improvement and Reporting:
  • Analyze logistics operations to identify improvements in efficiency, cost savings, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing both inbound and outbound logistics and inventory movement across warehouses.
  • Prepare and present logistics performance reports, covering KPIs like delivery times, logistics costs, vendor performance, and service levels.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments:
  • Coordinate closely with warehouse, procurement, and production teams to align logistics operations with supply chain objectives.
  • Work with clients and suppliers to address any logistics-related issues, such as delivery schedules or transport errors.
  • Collaborate with the Group Warehouse and Logistics Manager to ensure logistics operations support broader business goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics management or supervision, with a strong focus on fleet operations, vendor coordination, and logistics support for technical teams within a multi-warehouse environment.
  • Proficient with logistics software, Fleet management, route planning tools, and government platforms (e.g., Tam, Absher, Efaa).
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills for managing teams and vendor relations.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Analytical skills for optimizing logistics and controlling costs.
