We are looking for Line Mechanic with required knowledge and expertise to ensure uptime and efficient operations for Process, Filling & Packing equipment , such as Can filler, Seamer, Palletizer & De-Palletizer, Case packer, Dry Mixing, Capper, Conveyors etc. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will drive efficiency, improvement projects, and contribute to the overall success of the factory's operations. The position is in a Green Field Food Factory in Saudi.
Focus of this position is to:
Effectively maintain the Process, Filling & Packing equipments. This includes conducting timely maintenance and improvements tasks for safe and smooth operation, and proactively do the troubleshooting to reduce the unplanned stoppages. Provide initiatives for continuous improvement projects to optimize the performance & operational cost of the plant.
Compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including people safety, food safety, and Nestle’s good manufacturing practices , is essential.
Able to work in rotational shifts, weekends & public holidays.
Practical implementation of process description activities based on NQMS objectives & principles, review and improvement of KPIs.
A DAY IN THE LIFE …
Manage assets - AMM: Develop maintenance plan for all the Process, Filling & Packing equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s, Nestle’s & Regulatory requirements. Continuously provide initiatives to optimize the existing maintenance plan to improve cost and reduce unplanned stoppages for effective plant operation. Executing work orders and ensuring technical completion on time. Proactively do the troubleshooting to reduce the unplanned stoppages.
Manage assets - Spare parts management: Develop BOM for all the assets based on manufacturer’s, Nestle’s & Regulatory requirements. Perform asset classification to align the internal & external standards.
Efficiency & Cost: Provide improvement & energy/cost-saving initiative to optimize operations and minimize expenses for enhancing product quality and plant operation/performance. Perform all the planned/assigned tasks on time to meet the M&I budget monthly target.
Safety & Compliance: Perform risk assessment for equipments and maintenance tasks. Follow the safe ways of working, quality/hygiene standards, compliance of hygiene work permit & Permit To Work system. Create/Follow the SOPs & Log sheets for maintenance to meet legal, mandatory, safety, compliance, and hygiene standards at all times. Regularly review and update SOPs, log sheets.
3rd Party contractor management : Proper communication and coordination with all the contractors to plan & execute the 3rd party routine & non routine activities in safe & timely manner. Ensure that all contractor activities adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
What will make you successful…
Academic Experience: diploma or equivalent in mechanical engineering.
3-5 years’ experience in a technical field, preferable FMCG industry (as mechanic or other similar position).
Proficiency in English is required.
Knowledge of workshop basics like Machinist, Cutting , Grinding , Drilling and Welding.
Having good experience in SAP AMM (Asset Maintenance Management).
Participation in multi-disciplinary teams aiming to process and activity optimization.
Work following defined KPI's/objectives and proactively follow up on them.
Recommended to have participated in basic SHE and Food Safety training.
Recommended to have had exposure to TPM, preventive maintenance planning and maintenance execution.
Basic exposure to supervisory experience with technical teams, mechanical and electrical (contractors, suppliers or 3rd parties).
Basic exposure to coordination or planning of maintenance activities, considering safety, food safety and other constrains.
