Job Description
- Provide legal advice and guidance on regulatory and compliance matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to protect the organisation's interests.
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international laws and regulations.
- Manage legal disputes and liaise with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to minimise legal risks.
- Advise senior management on legal implications of business strategies and decisions.
- Conduct training sessions for staff to ensure awareness of legal and compliance obligations.
- Stay updated on legal developments and trends affecting their industry.
A successful Legal Director should have:
- A degree in Law from a recognised institution.
- Extensive knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks within the retail sector.
- Proven experience in managing legal teams and providing strategic legal advice.
- Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.
- Ability to handle complex legal disputes effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English languages.
