Job Description

  • Provide legal advice and guidance on regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to protect the organisation's interests.
  • Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international laws and regulations.
  • Manage legal disputes and liaise with external legal counsel when necessary.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to minimise legal risks.
  • Advise senior management on legal implications of business strategies and decisions.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff to ensure awareness of legal and compliance obligations.
  • Stay updated on legal developments and trends affecting their industry.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Director should have:

  • A degree in Law from a recognised institution.
  • Extensive knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks within the retail sector.
  • Proven experience in managing legal teams and providing strategic legal advice.
  • Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Ability to handle complex legal disputes effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English languages.
