Context

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Landscape Architect SME. The successful Landscape Architect SME is responsible for the aesthetic and functional design of outdoor areas within the road project, including soft and hard landscaping, irrigation, planting schemes, and urban furniture. The SME ensures all landscape elements are integrated efficiently and sustainably, aligned with local climate and community expectations, from concept through construction and DLP.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Develop and review landscape designs, master plans, and detailed drawings.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in sustainable landscape practices suitable for Riyadh’s climate.
  • Review and approve landscape-related material submittals, samples, and mock-ups.
  • Supervise landscape works implementation, including planting, hardscape, irrigation, and site furniture.
  • Coordinate with civil, utilities, and environmental teams to integrate landscape works.
  • Inspect and approve works during construction and advise on remedial measures during DLP.
  • Contribute to community engagement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Profile/Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s or Chartership preferred) in Landscape Architecture.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in road, highway, or major infrastructure landscaping.
  • Strong knowledge of desert/arid landscaping, plant species, and irrigation technologies.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic language proficiency an asset.
