General Summary

The Land Acquisition Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of the project by coordinating all land acquisitions activities. The Land Acquisition Coordinator will be responsible for engaging with key stakeholders, following land acquisition processes, and ensuring that all land-related aspects of the project are executed in line with legal, regulatory, and project requirements. The role will involve direct engagement with landowners, local authorities, legal teams, and other relevant parties to facilitate smooth and timely land acquisition implementation. The position requires knowledge of land acquisition processes and the ability to manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders while ensuring the projects' goals and timelines are met. The land acquisition coordinator should demonstrate knowledge of land acquisition laws as well as possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the stakeholder manager, consultants, legal team and local authorities to understand and manage the legal and regulatory aspects of land acquisition
• Develop and maintain detailed records of land acquisition transactions, ensuring that all agreements are properly documented and aligned with project timelines
• Facilitate any required processes related to land acquisition
• Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders to keep everyone informed of progress, potential issues and resolutions related to land acquisition
• Provide regular updates to project senior team regarding land acquisition progress and any potential risks
• Liaise with the concerned teams to ensure accurate boundary mapping and proper documentation of land parcels.
• Monitor land acquisition risks and maintain a risk register and contribute to stakeholder engagement strategies
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field
• 2- 4 years of experience, Proven experience in land acquisition, and/or stakeholder management
