We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Pastry Sous Chef to join our culinary team at the First Vignette Collection in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Carlton Al Moaibed Hotel). This dynamic role requires a high level of culinary skill, creativity, and dedication to support our Head Pastry Chef in delivering exceptional sweet and baked creations that delight our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in goods preparation and collaborate with the executive/head chef.
• Help in the design, testing, and implementation of the pastry menus.
• Produce high-quality products for customers in both design and taste.
• Oversee and supervise Pastry staff.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, supplier relationships, and management of supplies.
• Keep work and food prep stations clean and comply with food safety standards.
• Offer suggestions and creative ideas that can improve the Pastry team performance, menu options, and service levels.
• Maintain the schedule for staff shifts.
• Monitor and maintain the kitchen equipment, and arrange repairs and service as needed.
  
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or above
• Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of Food hygiene and safety regulations
• Ability to communicate with customers and other staff members
• Strong leadership skills
• Willing to work late or unsociable hours
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong knowledge of Pastry and Bakery products, with a touch of Chocolate making.
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good listening skills, with high levels of attention to detail
• Ability to multitask
