IT Infrastructure & Network Planning & Monitoring Director

Purpose of Job

The job holder is responsible for developing ZATCA’s IT Infrastructure and Networks strategic initiatives, projects, capacity plans, implementation plans within the planned budget as well as setting and monitoring set of KPIs and SLAs according to best practices and international standards in order to ensure meeting business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

• Contribute to the development of IT Infrastructure business plan ensuring alignment with ZATCA strategy
• Develop the operational plan for IT Infrastructure & Networks Planning & Monitoring in line with IT Infrastructure business plan and IT & Digitization strategic plan
• Implement plans and provide input to enable achievement of IT Infrastructure & Networks Planning & Monitoring goals that support ZATCA’s overall strategic plans
  
  
  

Budget Management

• Discuss IT Infrastructure & Networks Planning & Monitoring budgeting requirements with top management and provide input to the budgeting process
• Ensure effective utilization of IT Infrastructure & Networks Planning & Monitoring budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered
• Investigate and propose implementing initiatives that result in positive financial impact for IT Infrastructure & Networks Planning & Monitoring and mitigates financial and operational risks
  
  
  

Infrastructure and Networks Planning

• Develop IT infrastructure and networks capabilities and technology roadmap according to the latest trends and cutting-edge technology
• Manage the translation of IT roadmap into IT infrastructure and networks projects, and oversee the development of IT infrastructure and networks implementation plans ensuring proper alignment with IT enterprise architecture and standards
• Develop and maintain the capacity plans of IT servers, hardware, and networks in order to ensure alignment with business needs
• Develop and maintain database capacity plans and oversee the design and development of databases accordingly
• Provide support in the development of RFPs, evaluating / selecting vendors, and negotiating SLAs and contracts in cooperation with relevant stakeholders
• Ensure proper development of the IT risk mitigation plan for risks that could occur through the introduction of new technology, and ensure proper cascading of the set of risks and mitigation plan to all stakeholders
  
  
  

Infrastructure and Networks Monitoring

• Define IT infrastructure and networks performance metrics and KPIs
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of major change requests to IT infrastructure and networks and the associated impacts on IT architecture
• Ensure proper monitoring of the performance of ZATCA IT infrastructure and networks using the developed monitoring tools
• Review periodical reports related to systems, application logs, data backup and archiving, etc. and provide recommendations on actions to be done
• Oversee the development of the IT infrastructure and networks performance reports for optimization and improvement
• Develop effective communication of the IT infrastructure and networks performance reports to all relevant functions
  
  
  

People Management

• Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talent
• Guide, mentor and support direct reports in order to execute duties according to set policies and processes
• Develop individual performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate/appraise team and provide regular feedback on performance

Communication and Contacs

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent is required
• Master’s degree in Information Technology Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent is preferred
  
  
  

Experience

An optimal of 8 years of relevant experience, with a preferred 3 years of experience in managerial level
