Internal System Engineer

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, implement, and manage internal IT systems, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments

• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of internal systems and applications

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware/software issues proactively

• Automate repetitive tasks and implement process improvements through scripting and configuration tools

• Collaborate with IT security teams to enforce policies and monitor for vulnerabilities

• Support internal users with technical assistance and ensure smooth onboarding/offboarding

• Document infrastructure configurations, system changes, and operational procedures 

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments
• 3–5 years of experience in a system engineering, IT operations, or infrastructure support role
• Proficiency in networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs) and firewall configuration
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization tools (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus
• Solid scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
• Industry certifications such as MCSE, RHCE, CompTIA Server+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
• Familiarity with identity and access management systems (e.g., Active Directory, Okta, LDAP)
