We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instrument Technician to join our team. The Instrument Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and calibrating instrumentation and control systems in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and calibrate a variety of instrumentation and control systems, including sensors, transmitters, controllers, and actuators.
  • Mount and wire instruments according to engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
  • Verify proper installation and functionality of instruments and control devices during commissioning.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on instrumentation and control systems to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults or malfunctions in instrumentation and control systems using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective components and perform adjustments to restore proper functionality.
  • Conduct calibration of instruments and control loops to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Perform functional testing of instruments and control systems to verify proper operation and performance.
  • Record calibration and test results, maintain calibration logs, and update documentation as required.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Follow industry standards, regulations, and best practices for instrument installation, maintenance, and calibration.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in instrumentation technology, electronics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Instrument Technician, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles, control systems, and process control loops.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, test equipment, and calibration standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and repair instrument faults effectively.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to instrumentation and control systems (e.g., ISA, ANSI, NEC).
