Job Description

Parsons is looking for a skilled Civil Inspector to join our infrastructure construction supervision team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting civil and structural works on site to ensure compliance with design documents, specifications, and safety standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct daily site inspections of civil works including earthworks, concrete structures, retaining walls, pavements, and foundations.
• Verify that work is executed in accordance with IFC drawings, method statements, and technical specifications.
• Inspect formwork, rebar installation, concrete placement, backfilling, and compaction activities.
• Check alignment, levels, and dimensions to ensure tolerance compliance and construction accuracy.
• Assist the Resident Engineer and Civil Engineer in reviewing contractor submissions and resolving technical site issues.
• Document non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, test results, daily activities, and progress.
• Ensure that site activities meet health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in civil construction supervision, preferably on infrastructure or transportation projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction practices, materials, and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and reporting skills in English.
  
  
  

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

• Previous experience with international consultants or contractors on major infrastructure programs.
• Familiarity with local authority standards and approval processes.
• Knowledge of field inspection tools and digital documentation platforms is a plus.
