Job Description
  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Works under general supervision.
  • May assist with training entry-level employees.
  • Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
  • Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
  • Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
  • Tracks quality assurance progress.
  • Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.

Specifically, the project expects the following duties and responsibilities for the civil/materials inspector

  1. Perform quality assurance inspection and field testing on site to include field density of compacted soil and asphalt, visual inspection of MC-1 and RC-2, visual inspection for the restoration of tiles, concrete and asphalt pavement. The inspection and testing shall be implemented as per ASTM or project specifications from Riyadh Municipality or the from the Ministry of Transportation.
  2. Perform or collect soil and asphalt samples at the site and ensure that samples are properly recorded in the register book, so technicians follow for testing.
  3. Fill up the field or laboratory testing sheets correctly and aim to achieve at least 100% correctness. 4. Enter test results performed on the URS proprietary software, and aim to achieve 90% correctness to help the project manager lessen the burden of reviewing data entry.
  4. Performs laboratory testing on soil, asphalt, and concrete samples. Complete all assigned mandatory training under AECOM University on time.
  5. Report near- miss and incident to AECOM portal or to AECOM (Legacy URS) SHE & Q Manager.
  6. Performs weekly maintenance check on vehicles assigned and ensure that safety gears are present in the vehicle. Similarly, regularly submit vehicle cleanliness form.


8.Attend monthly SHE+ Q meetings in the office or online.

Note : Successful candidate for the position shall be trained on the job by experienced staff from the QA+ Lab Projects team

Target Hiring: September 2025 or earlier considering that requests for testing and site inspection has been increasing for the past months. Successful candidate is to be assigned in Riyadh on Project 60731089.
