Job Description

Parsons is looking for a qualified Bridge Inspector to join our infrastructure construction supervision team. The selected candidate will be responsible for on-site inspection of bridge structures to ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct daily site inspections of bridge works including substructure, superstructure, foundations, bearings, expansion joints, precast/post-tensioned elements, and associated civil works.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with approved design documents, specifications, and method statements.
• Inspect reinforcement, formwork, concrete placement, stressing, grouting, and finishing works related to bridge components.
• Check alignment, levels, and tolerances as per approved drawings and standards.
• Assist the Resident Engineer and Structural Engineer in resolving construction issues and ensuring quality delivery.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, document test results, and maintain records of construction progress.
• Ensure that all site operations comply with safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with other discipline inspectors to manage interface works.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in bridge construction supervision, including cast-in-situ and precast elements.
• Solid understanding of structural drawings, construction sequences, and quality assurance practices.
• Experience in inspecting bridge foundations, piers, abutments, girders, decks, and structural steel components.
• Ability to identify construction defects and non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
• Good communication skills and proficiency in English.
  
  
  

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

• Prior experience with international consultants or contractors on major bridge or highway projects.
• Familiarity with local authority standards and bridge inspection procedures in the GCC region.
• Basic knowledge of construction software or field documentation tools is an advantage.
