IDB3394 - Manager, Control & Reconciliation

Job Purpose

This role supports the financial control function. Key responsibilities include ensuring data accuracy, assessing internal control effectiveness within the finance function, and executing and supervising the reconciliation processes. Additionally, the role entails identifying discrepancies and potential non-compliant activities.

Key Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

• Manage and perform the financial control function, ensuring data accuracy and monitoring financial data integration among various systems.
• Assess internal controls at the design and effectiveness level within the finance function, identify weaknesses and recommend and monitor process improvements.
• Monitor and perform bank reconciliations daily, analyze open items, and interact with other departments to reconcile relevant items.
• Validate the accuracy of the financial information and control account reconciliations.
• Provide required information to the internal and external auditors to facilitate the audit process and implement recommended changes.
• Execute system enhancement projects such as automation of reports to improve turnaround time and quality of reports.
• Standardize the recording and reporting process to drive efficiencies in financial MIS reporting.
• Participate in Finance & Accounting improvement initiatives to contribute to the overall effectiveness of Finance & Accounting.
• Maintain documentation for accounting processes and policies to ensure proper record-keeping and compliance
  
  

Qualifications And Competencies

• BSc. in Finance & Accounting
• CPA, CA, ACCA, CIA, CMA or CIMA
  
  

Language Skills

• English and, Arabic or French are compulsory
  
  

Years of Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience
