Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated HSE Officer (Welfare) to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe, healthy, and supportive work environment for all employees, with a special focus on their overall welfare and well-being.
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures with a focus on employee welfare
- Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, providing detailed reports and recommendations for prevention
- Design and deliver HSE training programs to enhance employee awareness and promote a safety-first culture
- Implement and manage employee wellness initiatives and assistance programs
- Collaborate with management to address HSE concerns and improve workplace conditions
- Maintain accurate HSE records and prepare comprehensive reports for management review
- Stay updated on Saudi Arabian labor laws and HSE regulations, ensuring organizational compliance
- Coordinate with external agencies and government bodies on HSE matters
- Promote a positive safety culture through various communication channels and engagement activities
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA)
- Minimum 12 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably with a focus on employee welfare
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards, particularly in Saudi Arabia
- Proficiency in HSE management systems and reporting tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in conducting HSE audits, inspections, and investigations
- Background in implementing wellness programs and employee assistance initiatives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong commitment to promoting a safety-first culture and employee well-being
