Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Officer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our facility, staff, and operations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE policies and procedures
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and recommend preventive measures
- Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for staff and contractors
- Manage emergency response planning and coordinate with local authorities and emergency services
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local Saudi Arabian and international HSE regulations and standards
- Oversee environmental management initiatives, including waste management and sustainability programs
- Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, reports, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with management and department heads to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging HSE trends
- Implement and oversee safety strategies for daily operations and special projects
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in large-scale facilities or industrial settings
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards, including local Saudi Arabian regulations
- Proven experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and emergency response planning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and collaborate with diverse teams
- Proficiency in HSE software, data management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Experience with safety management systems
- Familiarity with facility operations and safety protocols
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Commitment to fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement
