WSP is seeking a qualified Health and Safety Inspector with experience in construction supervision, inspection, testing and commissioning. This role is based in Riyadh and involves overseeing health and safety compliance across a major project.
The ideal candidate will be a Saudi national with strong knowledge of HSE regulations and practices.

WSP is seeking a qualified Health and Safety Inspector with experience in construction supervision, inspection, testing and commissioning. This role is based in Riyadh and involves overseeing health and safety compliance across a major project.
The ideal candidate will be a Saudi national with strong knowledge of HSE regulations and practices.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols in line with WSP’s HSEQ Management System.
- Assist the HSE team in monitoring site-level safety practices to ensure compliance with legal and client standards.
- Review contractors’ HSE documentation including risk assessments, method statements, and safety plans prior to work commencement.
- Conduct daily site inspections to verify that safety measures are in place before operations begin.
- Perform weekly joint HSE inspections with contractors and other inspectors, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.
- Coordinate and test emergency response plans, ensuring drills are conducted as per schedule and performance criteria.
- Follow up on incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct regular safety audits and reviews across the project site.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g., PCFC, EHS) as needed.
- Prepare and submit monthly HSE reports in collaboration with contractor teams and share with the client.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Health & Safety or a related field.
- Minimum NEBOSH IGC certification is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction HSE roles.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Must be registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) in Health & Safety.
