Job Description
Parsons is looking for an experienced HSE Inspector to join our team! In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance of all project activities. You will conduct inspections, monitor safety practices, and enforce HSE standards to support the successful and safe delivery of this prestigious project.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, project-specific requirements, and industry best practices.
- Monitor construction activities, including landscaping, infrastructure works, and public realm enhancements, to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
- Enforce adherence to HSE policies, procedures, and standards across all project sites.
- Assist in the preparation and review of HSE documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and safety plans.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions to promote a culture of safety among workers and contractors.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all personnel on-site.
- Maintain accurate records of HSE inspections, audits, and incident reports, and prepare detailed reports for management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to address and resolve HSE issues promptly.
- Support emergency preparedness and response activities, including drills and simulations.
- Stay updated on local HSE regulations and international standards, ensuring their application to the project.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as an HSE Inspector, preferably in landscaping, infrastructure, or beautification projects.
- Strong knowledge of local HSE regulations, international standards, and best practices.
- Experience in conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and engage with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certification is highly preferred.
- Experience working on large-scale urban beautification or public realm projects.
- Familiarity with environmental sustainability practices and green initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
