Qualifications & Certifications
- HSE Engineer should possess a combination of qualifications, skills, and competences, including a degree in a relevant field such as engineering, environmental science, or occupational health and safety; Certifications
- Like CIH, CSP, ASP, NEBOSH DIP L6, OSHA, or ISO 14001, ISO 45001;
- Work Experience: 8-10 years in similar capacity
- Works closely with project management
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
- Knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices;
- Experience with risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations; ability to develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and training programs;
- Proficiency in using HSE software and tools, with strong technical, organizational, and leadership skills to effectively manage and Mitigate HSE risks in the workplace.
- Hazard & Risk Management
- Shall Provide HSE leadership, training and operational support to all levels of the organization and across all functional groups.
- Ensures all HSE processes and procedures are implemented and standardized across the project assigned.
- Tracks Project health and safety metrics and use the KPIs data to identify and to reduce risk.
- Assists in all aspects of incident investigation including verifying root cause and approving the implementation of preventative actions
- Ensures emergency response systems, policies and procedures are in place to manage emergencies.
- Maintains current working knowledge of all applicable HSE regulations.
- Maintains all necessary training and licensing to function as a signing authority on all HSE matters.
- Other duties and projects as assigned
- Competences include risk assessment, safety audits, environmental
- Management systems, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance.
- Essential skills comprise strong analytical abilities, effective communication, project management, and proficiency in HSE software and tools.
- Proficiency in relevant safety regulations and standards, as well as fluency in multiple languages, can be advantageous in multinational environments.
- Participate in monthly and weekly safety committee meeting with members of Safety Committee related to Emergency Response Plan to create strong communication so that the departments always get- informed about the latest HSE developments.
