HSE Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for all phases of the project.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Continuously monitor and update risk assessments as the project progresses.
• Ensure all project activities comply with local, national, and international HSE regulations.
• Obtain and maintain all necessary HSE permits and licenses.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely reporting and compliance.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies.
• Conduct HSE training sessions for all project personnel.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain detailed records of all incidents and safety inspections.
• Perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
• Conduct HSE audits and prepare reports for management review.
• Ensure all safety equipment and procedures are in place and functioning properly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certifications.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in large power or construction projects.
• In-depth understanding of HSE regulations and best practices in the power industry
