HSE Engineer

Job Title: HSE Engineer

Department: Health, Safety & Environment

Reports To: HSE Manager / Project Manager

Job Purpose:

To ensure compliance with company and client HSE policies, standards, and regulations by implementing safety procedures, conducting inspections, and promoting a safe work culture at the project/site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor HSE plans, policies, and procedures at the site.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions.
• Ensure all activities comply with local laws, regulations, and company HSE requirements.
• Deliver safety induction and toolbox talks to employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend preventive actions.
• Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and training.
• Support the preparation and review of Method Statements and Risk Assessments (MSRA).
• Coordinate emergency drills and ensure readiness for emergency situations.
• Promote a positive HSE culture among all staff and subcontractors.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Environmental Science (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience in construction or industrial projects.
• NEBOSH IGC / OSHA / IOSH certification preferred.
• Good knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
