Your Role

Gensler Middle East is seeking a HR Generalist to join its Riyadh office. In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating and liaising between the company and Government organizations/authorities and providing a key interface between the two as well as supporting HR operations in the office. You will work closely with a network of regional and global HR communities with Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits and HRIS.

What You Will Do

Government Relations

  • Ensure compliance with Saudi labor law, GOSI, MHRSD, and other government regulations.
  • Manage all Iqama processes: issuance, renewal, transfer, and cancellation.
  • Oversee work visas, exit/re-entry, and final exits for employees.
  • Liaise with ministries (MHRSD, MOFA, GOSI, Chamber of Commerce) and manage company registrations and portals (Qiwa, Muqeem, Mudad).
  • Maintain accurate records of all government transactions, renewals, and Saudization reports.

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Support new hire onboarding (contracts, medicals, government documentation, induction coordination).
  • Ensure smooth offboarding (clearance, final settlement, exit visa processing).
  • Employee Relations & Support
  • Act as the first point of contact for Riyadh employees for HR queries.
  • Support HR Manager with employee relations, disciplinary processes, and policy implementation.
  • Foster a positive work environment that reflects Gensler’s culture.

HR Administration

  • Maintain employee files and HRIS data in compliance with Saudi regulations.
  • Track leave and benefits administration in coordination with the broader Middle East HR team.
  • Prepare HR reports (headcount, Saudization, attrition, compliance metrics).

Talent & Saudization Support

  • Partner with HR Manager and leadership on Saudization initiatives and workforce planning.
  • Support recruitment by coordinating interviews, arranging candidate logistics, and managing local job postings.

Your Qualifications

  • Educated up to bachelor’s degree level.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in HR operations and government relations, including regular interaction with ministries and embassies.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi labor law, GOSI, Qiwa, Muqeem, Mudad, and other e-government platforms.
  • Experience in visa and immigration processes.
  • Spoken and written Arabic is essential.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships with individuals at all levels.
  • Solid time management skills including the ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks while working independently or as a part of a team.
