Job Description:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams. Work closely with departments such as sales, engineering, and project management to ensure alignment on goals and the successful delivery of AV projects.
• Provide Pre-Sales support. Assist the Pre-Sales team with AV design, system specifications, and product selection to ensure the proposed solutions meet client expectations and technical requirements.
• Manage project dependencies. Effectively communicate client or third-party dependencies in a timely manner to prevent delays, ensuring fully functional systems are delivered on time for handover.
• Lead and mentor the AV design team. Guide the design team by allocating tasks according to project scope and deadlines, ensuring high-quality designs and seamless project execution.
• Oversee recruitment efforts. Play an active role in the hiring and development of design engineers to build a skilled, high-performing team.
• Monitor industry trends and innovation. Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and trends to integrate cutting-edge solutions into designs and maintain the department’s competitive edge.
• Ensure compliance and best practices. Ensure that all AV designs and installations adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices, maintaining the quality and integrity of all projects.
• Client and stakeholder communication. Maintain open lines of communication with clients and stakeholders, providing technical insights and ensuring their needs are understood and met.
• Drive continuous improvement. Identify areas for process optimization, improving the efficiency of AV design, delivery, and overall project management.
• Conduct quality control. Oversee the quality assurance of all AV system designs, installations, and integrations, ensuring they meet or exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
AV System Solution Design and Integration
- Lead AV system design and integration. Develop and maintain advanced audiovisual systems that meet organizational and client-specific needs.
- Stakeholder collaboration. Work closely with clients and internal teams to gather requirements and provide tailored technical recommendations.
- Oversee installation and integration. Ensure smooth installation and seamless integration of AV equipment in compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Support pre-sales efforts. Assist in creating a Statement of Functionality (SOF) and Bill of Quotation (BOQ) to outline system capabilities, limitations, and pricing based on customer objectives.
- Develop technical documentation. Create system flow diagrams, labor estimations, and other technical documentation to guide the project from design to execution.
Team Leadership and Management
- Manage and mentor the AV design team. Provide leadership, training, and ongoing mentorship to design engineers, fostering growth and excellence.
- Task allocation and prioritization. Assign tasks and manage team workloads, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet design specifications.
- Performance management. Conduct regular evaluations, offering constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement within the team.
- Client engagement. Partner with sales teams on site visits and needs analysis to better understand customer requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
- Develop internal scopes. Prepare detailed Technical Scopes of Work (TSOW) for field operations teams to ensure clarity and precision in project execution.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting.
- Serve as the technical authority. Act as the key point of contact for all AV design-related inquiries, providing technical support to both internal teams and external clients.
- Cross-departmental support.Collaborate with other departments to resolve technical issues and assist with product evaluations and vendor selections as needed.
Project Management.
- Collaborate with Project Managers. Review the SOF and BOQ with Project Managers to ensure smooth post-award transitions and execution.
- Assist with project estimation.Contribute to the preparation of technical designs, labor estimates, and bid documentation for service contracts.
Quality Assurance and Compliance.
- Ensure quality control. Conduct thorough quality reviews of AV system designs to ensure functionality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
- Stay current with industry advancements. Keep abreast of emerging AV technologies and trends, recommending improvements and upgrades where appropriate.
- Adhere to safety and compliance standards. Ensure all AV designs and installations comply with industry regulations and safety protocols.
