The GT Controller Engineer is responsible for programming and providing technical support for turbine control and protection systems for gas and steam turbines, including executing commissioning activities and conducting functional tests on control cabinets. Candidates should have an engineering degree or equivalent experience, with expertise in Siemens T3000 automation technology and familiarity with systems like Step7 and WinCC, along with experience in automation technology and thermal power plants. How You’ll Make An Impact
- Programming of turbine control and protection systems for GT/ST turbines and technical clarification on site.
- Performing and support GT/ST commissioning activities including mechanical activities.
- Technical support during commissioning as well as on-site support of commissioning.
- Participation in the further development of the control system for continuous product improvement
- calling out hotline for the technical support of our customers, occasional participation in on-call weeks
- Carrying out functional tests on control cabinets (FATs)
- Occasionally carrying out customer training
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience preferably with a focus on power engineering or automation technology
- In-depth knowledge of Siemens T3000 automation technology partially including T3k Administration. Preferably some knowhow of general Siemens automation technology (Step7 with CFC, WinCC and/or PCS7)
- Knowledge of the following systems is desirable: Siemens TIA Portal, Windows 10+11, system knowledge, PC technology (hardware knowledge)
- Experience in automation technology with a focus on control systems and continuous processes is desirable, as well as ideally plant experience from commissioning assignments in the thermal power plant sector.
- Basic knowledge in the field of thermal power plants and especially steam/Gas turbine generator sets is desirable.
- Fluency in English ,written and spoken, for regular customer contact is required.
- Being on site almost 80% of the time.
- Able to travel 80% of the time including domestic and international.
