Graphic Designer

Position Purpose

A Graphic Designer Level 2 produces and develop design solutions with high visual impact including, signage, presentation design, logos, brand identity, etc. They create original designs as well as understanding how to interpret and work within client brand guidelines. They are able to take art direction, understand creative briefs and work collaboratively within a team. A graphic designer can take initiative, multi-task, and work graciously in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines. A Designer L2 can quickly understand client brands and make custom decks that align with brand guidelines. They also create and maintain TAIT branded decks for RFPs and PD pitch decks using TAIT guidelines. For this region, the designer needs to design appropriately for cultural considerations as well.

Responsibilities

• Take a project from concept to design documentation, fully understanding the project lifecycle, working within project schedules and deliverables.
• Proficient at working within a project team as a contributor, effectively collaborating and communicating status, project needs or barriers for deliverables.
• Demonstrates knowledge of design standards and print production, as well as production for web/digital. Able to take guidelines and interpret design direction to client needs.
• Works in scale understands how to create design documentation and working with graphic element matrixes, callouts, aligning signage packages with other disciplines (lighting/show set)
• A keen design eye for design trends, as well as working within client brands and creating original design solutions. This includes being able to interpret global trends successfully to regional and cultural needs.
• Judiciously employs the appropriate tools, media and style to meet established objectives.
• Skilled at communicating project needs (both verbally and written)
  
  

Position Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant visual graphic and environmental design experience required.
• Education: Associates degree required, Bachelors’ degree highly preferred, in graphic design, architecture or related design discipline.
• Previous experience with turn-key projects, specifically within the location-based entertainment field, tradeshows or events.
• Expert level experience in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator (with CAD Tools), & InDesign
• Intermediate to Expert level experience in Sketchup
• Familiarity with Blender, Rhino, Revit, Cinema 4D, and/or Maya, a plus
• Understand graphic production a plus (preparing and producing files for print or fabrication)
• Expert level experience in presentation tools (PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides).
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Interact effectively through graphic, verbal and written communication, with great organizational and follow through skills
• Fluency in English and Arabic
