Your new role, what's involved?

• Slope Monitoring & Mapping: Conduct regular inspections of rock slopes, monitoring for movement, erosion, or other instability signs. Perform detailed slope mapping and ensure all geological structures are accurately documented and analyzed.
• Geohazard Identification & Mitigation: Assess site-specific geohazards, identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate mitigation measures (e.g., bolting, netting, drainage).
• Shotcrete & Stabilization Oversight: Oversee and inspect the application of shotcrete, ensuring proper technique, material use, and quality standards are met. Verify adherence to project specifications and quality requirements.
• Cavity Detection & Remediation: Inspect and identify cavities, assessing their impact on structural stability, and recommend methods for remediation and reinforcement.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all inspections, non-compliance issues, and corrective actions. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports summarizing inspection findings, project progress, and quality assessments.
• Coordination with Project Teams: Work closely with engineers, contractors, and other project personnel to ensure that all geotechnical requirements are understood, and quality standards are upheld.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all site activities comply with relevant safety standards, project specifications, and regulations.
  
  

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience: Minimum 15 years of geotechnical inspection experience, with a strong focus on rock slopes, geohazards, slope mapping, and mitigation measures.
• Technical Knowledge: Expertise in geotechnical engineering principles, rock slope stabilization, shotcrete application, cavity remediation, and other mitigation measures.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers in a relevant category.
