Job Brief:

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our client’s operations in the country. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, preferably in mechanical engineering, and significant experience working within the regional market. This role requires a strategic leader who is well-versed in local laws, has strong connections with MEP contractors and consultants, and possesses a solid understanding of financial statements.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the company's operations in alignment with the company's overall objectives.
• Identify growth opportunities and develop business plans to expand market presence.

Operational Management:

• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement and manage operational policies and procedures.
• Monitor production processes and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Financial Oversight:

• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Analyze financial statements to make informed business decisions.
• Ensure financial performance meets or exceeds established targets.

Compliance and Legal:

• Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies as necessary.
• Handle all legal matters related to the company's operations in the country.

Business Development:

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with MEP contractors, consultants, and other key stakeholders.
• Drive business development initiatives and secure new contracts and projects.
• Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the local team to achieve operational excellence.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and implement training programs.

Customer Relationship Management:

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining strong relationships with key clients.
• Address and resolve any customer issues or complaints promptly.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a managerial role within the regional market, preferably with a local or multinational company.
• Proven experience in managing all functions of a company, including operations, finance, legal, and business development.
• Strong understanding of country's laws and regulations.
• Excellent connections with MEP contractors and consultants.
• Experience in a manufacturing company (building materials/sheet metals/foam) is highly desirable.
• Products to be dealt with are Closed Cell Insulation and Flexible Ducts.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze financial statements.
• Fluent in Arabic and proficient in English.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
