Job Purpose

The role holder is responsible for providing IFRS advices, develop white papers and accounting treatments on critical and complex transactions for all Functional stakeholders within stc KSA, and assist stakeholders in developing robust accounting models for Group Finance Unit and Functional stakeholders group entities under IFRS, Along with enhancing awareness and readiness on latest industry trends and updates in IFRS. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedure.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide IFRS advices, develop white papers and accounting treatments on critical and complex transactions for all Functional stakeholders within stc KSA
  • Provide on-call support to relevant Finance stakeholders in addressing their immediate queries with regard to IFRS
  • Assist stakeholders in developing robust accounting models for Group Finance Unit and Functional stakeholders group entities under IFRS e.g. ECL, LTI Program, Inventory provisioning, Amortization schedules etc.
  • Assist stakeholders in developing appropriate accounting policies, addressing areas involving significant judgements and establishing accounting estimates

Job Responsibility (Cont.)

  • Provided needed IFRS assistance in the preparation & disclosures of the financial statements and reports
  • Provided assistance to finance stakeholders in handling internal & external audit queries with regard to IFRS
  • Monitor the changes and updates in IFRS and select laws & regulations for stc KSA which will have financial impact.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for conducting impact assessment due to updates in IFRS and provide insights and analysis around their implications on the accounting & reporting for Group Finance Unit And Functional stakeholders
  • Enhance awareness and readiness on latest industry trends and updates in IFRS through sharing publications and conducting workshops

Years Of Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related discipline

Nature Of Experience

  • Prior experience in Functional Accounting Advisory and specifically in the telecommunication industry is strongly preferred

  • Good understanding of telecommunications industry
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills including conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Financial Procedures and financial instruments principles

Education

Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting
