Fulfillment Manager | MAF Retail | Head Office KSA

Role Summary

The Dark Store Manager is accountable for the full lifecycle of dark store operations, from identifying and launching new dark store locations, setting up operational structures and processes, to managing day-to-day fulfillment and stock activities. This includes ensuring timely order fulfillment, minimizing incomplete order rates, and optimizing the receiving and stocking of goods. The role plays a critical part in enabling efficient last-mile execution and ensuring high customer satisfaction through operational excellence and product availability.

ROLE PROFILE

• Lead the identification, evaluation, and launch of new dark store locations based on demand patterns, operational feasibility, and proximity to customer clusters.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Construction, IT, and other internal stakeholders for site readiness, infrastructure setup, and technology deployment.
• Manage the end-to-end fulfillment process (picking, marshalling, dispatching) to ensure timely and complete order deliveries.
• Collaborate with the Last Mile team to ensure alignment between picking/dispatch and delivery schedules.
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement automation or lean practices to improve speed and accuracy.
• Oversee receiving and stocking processes, ensuring accurate inventory levels and proper shelving as per planograms.
• Ensure order accuracy, freshness, and safe packaging to meet customer satisfaction benchmarks.
• Oversee staff planning, training, and development to ensure operational readiness and succession planning.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in E-Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related fields
• 5–7 years of experience in E-commerce fulfillment or logistics operations
• Experience in setting up or managing dark stores or micro-fulfillment centers
• Strong exposure to last-mile integration, warehouse technologies, and automation tools
• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
