JOB SUMMARY:
\We are looking for an experienced Financial Technical Manager with a strong background in Oracle ERP along with technical skills and a deep understanding of financial systems within the logistics and supply chain industry. This role is critical in managing the intersection between finance operations and enterprise technology, leading ERP system optimization and financial process automation to support our dynamic, logistics-driven business. The successful candidate will ensure efficient, compliant, and scalable financial systems that align with our operational goals.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead and manage the configuration, enhancement, and support of Oracle ERP financial modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, PO, Inventory, Projects, etc.), with specific consideration for logistics operations.
• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and technical lead on ERP initiatives related to finance and supply chain integration.
• Manage the full lifecycle of ERP projects, from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Drive improvements in financial transaction processing, cost accounting, and revenue recognition across warehousing, freight, and transportation services.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance (SOX, IFRS, local GAAP) in all financial systems and reports.
• Develop custom financial reports and interfaces using Oracle development tools (PL/SQL, BI Publisher, Oracle Forms/Reports, etc.).
• Oversee integrations between Oracle ERP and third-party logistics platforms (e.g., TMS, WMS, freight management systems).
• Collaborate closely with finance, IT, procurement, operations, and external consultants to align system capabilities with business goals.
• Provide strategic guidance on ERP upgrades and cloud migrations (e.g., Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion Cloud).
• Lead and mentor a team of technical and functional analysts.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in ERP and financial systems, with at least 10 years in Oracle EBS or Oracle Cloud ERP.
• Strong technical background with Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Forms/Reports, APIs, and integration tools (e.g., SOA, REST/SOAP services).
• Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation environments.
• In-depth knowledge of financial processes including asset management, procurement, cost accounting, and intercompany transactions in a logistics context.
• Experience with project and team management in multi-location, fast-paced environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle SCM, Transportation Management (OTM), or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP migration or implementation.
• Familiarity with logistics KPIs, freight reconciliation processes, and carrier payment systems.
• Oracle Financials certification, or similar credentials.
