Financial Controller

Role Purpose

The Financial Controller in the Investment Accounting/Controlling Department is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, controlling, and analysis of investment activities. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements while providing strategic insights to optimize investment performance.

Job Accountabilities & Activities

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for investment-related activities.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS and relevant financial regulations.
• Prepare financial statements, investment reports, and disclosures.
  
  

Investment Controlling & Analysis:

• Monitor investment performance and provide variance analysis.
• Conduct financial modeling and risk assessments for investment portfolios.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting investment income and expenditures.
  
  

Regulatory & Audit Compliance:

• Support internal and external audits related to investment accounting.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
• Implement internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risks.
  
  

Process Improvement & Automation:

• Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting processes.
• Support the implementation of accounting and financial control systems.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency in financial operation
  
  

Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate with internal teams, including Treasury, Risk Management, and Investment teams.
• Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.
• Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  
  

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent certification preferred.
  
  

Required Years Of Experience

Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in financial controlling, investment accounting, or auditing.
