Finance Manager

About this role:

We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join our growing team in Saudi Arabia. This individual will play a crucial role in managing the business from a financial and commercial perspective, supporting key stakeholders, and building foundational financial operations. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and help shape Groq’s approach in the Middle East region and beyond.

The successful candidate will have experience in business partnership, commercial finance, accounting, and understanding of local business regulations in Saudi Arabia. The day to day activities will include working with our external accounting team to ensure frictionless transactions and recognition, reviewing contracts, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and much more. It is a dynamic role suited for someone who thrives in finding a path forward amongst ambiguity and is looking for a hands-on position that will scale as the business grows.

Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:

• Financial Operations: Manage financial operations with our outsourced service providers and ensure compliance with all regulations in Saudi Arabia. This includes revenue recognition, vendor payments, accounting completeness, transaction review, and tax considerations.
• Commercial Support: Provide financial analysis and insights related to the commercial business, helping the company scale effectively in Saudi Arabia.
• Planning & Budgeting: Collaborate with key stakeholders to create budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Review actuals vs. budget and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams in Saudi Arabia and liaise with the US team. Provide financial insight and align strategies for business expansion.
• External Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with external parties such as banks, auditors, and government agencies to ensure financial operations comply with local regulations (e.g., VAT, taxation, banking laws).
• Market Knowledge: Understand the KSA commercial landscape, including accounting, taxation, import/export laws, and ministry relations. Assist in managing the operational aspects of working in Saudi Arabia’s business environment.
• Foundation Setting: Set up the foundation for Groq’s operations in Saudi Arabia, managing day-to-day financial tasks while identifying areas for future growth and process improvement.
  
  
  

Ideal candidates have/are:

• Minimum 12 years of experience in finance
• Experience working with a US multi-national company.
• Experience in both SaaS, managed services and hardware environments.
• Experience working with financial regulations and tax laws in Saudi Arabia.
  
  
  

Skills:

• Strong financial analysis, planning, and budgeting skills.
• Expertise in financial reporting, accounting, and revenue recognition; Big 4 experience a plus
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  
  
  

Education:

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
  
  
  

Language:

• Fluent in both English and Arabic (written and spoken).

Compensation: At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is 348,000 SAR to 504,000 SAR, determined by your skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks.
