We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician specializing in instrumentation and commissioning to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation equipment at customer sites. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in various environments.

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician specializing in instrumentation and commissioning to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation equipment at customer sites. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in various environments.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Execute the installation and commissioning of instrumentation systems and electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Assist in the evaluation of customer specifications and requirements during the proposal phase. Provide technical insights and feedback on instrumentation-related inquiries and deviations.
- Collaborate with project managers to prepare and maintain schedules for the electrical scope of work, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Supervise the quality and cost of instrumentation installations, ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines.
- Participate in the design review process, providing feedback on instrumentation designs developed by partner companies to ensure they meet operational requirements.
- Utilize detailed knowledge of instrumentation equipment, including electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, to troubleshoot and resolve issues on-site.
- Provide support during pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, ensuring all systems are operational and meet performance standards.
- Associate’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in field service, instrumentation, or commissioning roles is preferred.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation equipment and systems, including electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed, including overnight stays.
- Relevant certifications in instrumentation or electrical systems are a plus.
