The Field Operator I is an entry-level position focused on performing hands-on tasks using Weatherford’s equipment, machinery, and systems under close supervision. This role follows established technical manuals, procedures, and work instructions to safely and accurately complete assignments. Field Operator I team members gain foundational experience in field operations, learning to apply best practices while supporting more senior operators.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain various equipment, machinery, and systems used in field operations.
• Perform pre-operation checks and inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working condition.
• Monitor equipment performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues as they arise.
• Assist in the setup, rigging, and teardown of equipment at job sites.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to equipment operation and maintenance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures when operating equipment.
• Understand and adhere to all safety regulations and applicable Weatherford Policies.
• Perform duties according to the documented Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, and Workplace Instructions.
• Identify, explain the function, and operate all auxiliary equipment.
• Identify and explain the function of all primary equipment.
• Apply all the disciplines of driving, rigging up, operating, and rigging down equipment on location.
• Maintain equipment and accurate driving records as required by region-specific transportation requirements.
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record.
• Communicate details and directions in a clear and coherent manner.
• Be available to work on a 24-hour call basis.
• Perform various other duties assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including long and irregular hours
• Must have a telephone and the ability to be on 24-hour call
• Ability to react effectively and efficiently in operating tools and machinery
• Ability to imagine how tools and products will look when preparing for assembly, repair, or modifications

Qualifications:

• 0-1 years of experience
• High School diploma, skilled labour certificate or equivalent.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License or the ability to obtain one.
• Valid Hazardous Materials endorsement or the ability to obtain one.
• Valid Tanker endorsement or the ability to obtain one.
