Join the KES Middle East Supply Chain team based in Dammam, Saudi and embark on an exciting career as Field Expeditor for the region including travel to GCC regions. In this role, you will support KES supply chain ensuring that goods and services are delivered on or before agreed contractual dates, working closely with Procurement and Project Management.
You will be contributing to overall commercial, economic and technical success of KES projects representing procurement on the project as needed, ensuring supply of goods to meet the defined project requirements within the overall project scope.
What You Will Do
- Take ownership of schedule. Work with suppliers to ensure delivery commitments are met. Assist the Procurement Department to maintain a high level of on-time performance (OTP).
- Monitor performance at subcontractor facilities, including but not limited to staffing levels, planned hours of operation, receipt of major materials, and performance of sub-suppliers.
- Schedule management - proactively identify any potential bottlenecks, critical path items which could jeopardize overall project schedule; alert project team in the event of schedule slippage. Identify solutions, in conjunction with the Buyer, PM and supplier, and execute to bring projects back on schedule.
- Monitor process sub-suppliers (coating, galvanizing, plate rolling, etc.) as required to verify status of production and anticipate issues which will affect schedule.
- Attend Kick-off/Pre-Inspection meetings as required at subcontractor facilities as required.
- Monitor and report completion of milestone completion dates such as dates for receipt of free issue items, approval of welding procedures, or receipt of approved drawings.
- Ensure timely and accurate manufacturing schedules are available and ERP system updated.
- Act as a facilitator between supplier and KES. Ensure deliverables are expedited from both parties.
- Maintain and develop positive supplier relationships.
- Conduct qualification process in cooperation with other KES disciplines such as QA/QC, Procurement and Engineering as required.
- Additional duties as required by supervisor.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels, reduce excess inventory and improve inventory turnover
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks, such as processing information files, reporting and other paperwork.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Chemical or related Engineering field.
- Experience in Field Expediting and/or Production of Heavy equipment(s) like Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Structures, Rotating Equipment(s), Skid(s) etc.
- Proficient technical software skills to keep accurate and easily accessible records: Intermediate level on MS Excel and MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Word and MRP Systems
- Supply Chain knowledge including Procurement, Expediting, Logistics and Inventory management, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector or heavy construction industry.
- Familiarity with Aramco and ADNOC procurement requirements.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in English and/or Arabic Languages.
- Willingness to travel 85% of the time (depending on project stage)

- Supplier Negotiation & Supplier Management skills/experience.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to problem solve both internally and externally to ensure schedule requirements.
- Effective problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of Procurement, Project Management, and Quality functions.
