You will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, overseeing construction activities, and ensuring that all work complies with engineering specifications and safety standards. This role involves coordinating with the design team, contractors, and project managers to resolve engineering issues, optimize construction processes, and ensure that projects meet performance standards and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee field operations to ensure all engineering activities are conducted according to project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Provide technical guidance to construction crews and contractors, troubleshooting any engineering-related issues that arise on-site.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of installations and constructions.
- Collaborate with the project team to plan and optimize schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and task sequencing.
- Monitor daily progress on-site and ensure alignment with project milestones and deadlines.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures, conducting routine inspections and testing to ensure compliance with design specifications and engineering standards.
- Ensure all work adheres to relevant industry codes, standards, and project specifications, including environmental and safety regulations.
- Prepare and maintain quality assurance documentation, including checklists, inspection reports, and test records.
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety by ensuring all personnel follow HSE protocols, including safe work practices, hazard assessments, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct regular safety briefings, inspections, and audits, reporting any safety violations or incidents.
- Collaborate with the HSE team to investigate any incidents and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date field records, including daily logs, progress reports, and equipment utilization records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional engineering certification or equivalent is a plus; safety certifications (such as OSHA) are highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of field engineering experience in construction or energy projects, ideally with exposure to both sectors.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and energy systems (e.g., renewable energy, grid connections, energy infrastructure).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to address on-site engineering challenges effectively.
- Clear, professional communication skills for interactions with site personnel, clients, and stakeholders.
