The Field Application Specialist is the subject matter expert, responsible for providing technical leadership for assigned market(s), leading as an ambassador, strategist, and negotiator to secure wins aligned with Energy+ strategy, including exclusive WTS wins and existing product sales in the assigned market(s), developing and maintain Strategies and Opportunities via Initiatives and specific projects, market Insights (Trends & Drivers, Competition, Technology, Partners), considered as the regional expert on regulations and policy related to the assigned market(s) and geography. The field application specialist will support winning our most important strategically-aligned opportunities in win and expand markets, work closely with Strategic Business Development Representatives to provide compelling value propositions and secure win on exclusive WTS opportunities and sales of existing products, ensure team alignment with commercial sales KPIs and strategic plans, engage in customer communication, diagnose process issues, and support Technical Solutions in providing fit-for-purpose technical proposals.
This specific position will include travel across the Middle East and Africa.
This position reports to the Sales Director and is part of the Energy+ Sales Department located in the United Arab Emirates and will be an on-site role to cover all Middle East and Africa.

This position reports to the Sales Director and is part of the Energy+ Sales Department located in the United Arab Emirates and will be an on-site role to cover all Middle East and Africa.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Participate in customer meetings and calls (both internal and external) to discuss support issues, gather customer feedback, and address concerns and complaints and support Funnel Growth by collaborating with Strategic Business Development Representatives and field sales specialists to cultivate funnel opportunities in assigned markets.
- Lead and / or contribute to new product or market field trials, customer lunch & learns, white paper development, webinars, and tradeshow involvement and also lead the implementation of pilot studies at licensor’s sites to ensure early validation of Pall’s product to ensure early adoption of our technologies by licensors and ensure to have competitive product knowledge within assigned markets and relevant advantage applications, and coordinate with competitive product SMEs such as Strategic Business Development and Marketing to support value proposition discussions with customers that align with Pall’s strategy.
- Travel for various reasons in support of Strategic Business Development and sales, including reviewing customer operations/facilities, evaluating customer designs, explaining proposed standard processes and equipment, supporting value proposition discussions, and reviewing projects in detail with multidisciplinary design teams and develop knowledge of regulatory landscape by becoming member of regulatory advocacy agencies in the assigned markets and geography
- Support review and interpretation of customer’s technical specifications and support development of those documents with the customer and develop knowledge of customer operations and applications in order to perform appropriate calculations to develop a process design that will meet customer requirements and/or provide feedback to Pall’s innovation engine on new solution concepts and also support the continued development, enhancement, improvement, and utilization of product selection, optimized equipment design, costing, process and scope description and quotation tools (e.g., Budget costing, Vessel Configurator, Quote generator/templates, technical drawing package, proposals). Be the source of continuous improvement for tools and processes using DBS Tools.
- Can propose, with Engineering support, advantaged alternative optimized mechanical solutions (pressure vessel, MOC, design, configuration, connexion, closure, rating) to minimize the cost impact of the project and support deployment of our preferred product portfolio and ensure competitive and up-to-date product knowledge within assigned Win market advantage applications and coordinate with Field Sales Specialist in support of value proposition discussions with the customer.
- Travels for a variety of reasons in support of strategic initiatives; symposiums /presentation, review customers operations/facility, review customer designs, and review the project in detail with the multidisciplinary design teams and able to help create, maintain, and follow standard work in place, join meetings/calls promptly, and participate or lead actively and Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies
- Follow standard work processes within the team to drive and track sustainable practices, ensuring team deliverables, KPIs, and metrics consistently meet or exceed service levels through daily management and provides technical support / context to service team prior and during system installation/operation and assist with pilot test plans and validation of the Pall solutions in new or attractive applications and support and contribute to a high-performing, metrics-driven team
- Foster cooperation and collaboration within the team and assist in building organizational and people capabilities with an emphasis on team strength and accountability (Win as a Team) and Participate in team meetings, provide feedback on performance, and support the development plans of team members and display integrity, be truthful in interactions, and always treat people with respect (Instill Trust)and assist in case management, follow-up with customers (internal and external), and case resolution and maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in educational workshops, training, and cross-training opportunities.
- Bachelors degree in Chemical/process Engineering, or related field, or over 10 years of experience in technical filtration support and 5+ years of experience in assigned market(s) with demonstrated technical ability in the relevant key technologies, experience in filtration with experience working on simple and complex projects in the Energy Transition, Chemical, Refinery, and/or Oil & Gas industries.
- Fluent in both English and Arabic languages is essential, and Outstanding presentation, negotiation, troubleshooting and communication skills (both written and spoken) are strongly preferred
- Adept at building global relationships and supporting customers across cultural norms and must have a cultural understanding of the Middle East and Africa and demonstrated ability to work across an organization, collaborate with stakeholders and other cross-functional division, across the organization and proven ability to coach sales, sales support and external customers.
- A results-oriented teammate with strong communication skills and a personal dynamic that fosters an atmosphere of collegiality and consultative management towards common goals and willingness to challenge the status quo and think creatively to support continuous improvement.
- Outstanding Written and Oral Communication: Clearly and concisely communicate with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders in order to generate best-in-class content such as white papers, technical briefs, presentations, customer discussions, and value proposition statements
- Explains difficult or sensitive information simply; works to build consensus, work well with cross-functional teams like sales, marketing, product, strategies, and support to ensure team and customer needs are met and understand priorities and translate them to the technical associates, effectively deal with customers at all levels of the organization.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: Focusing on customer satisfaction and long-term relationship development. Maintain a strong, regular customer presence with multiple high-level face-to-face customer interactions each day at specialized engineering companies such as EPCs, in partnership with account managers, or with new potential customers. Develop deep insights into customer preferences, needs, and anticipated trends to formulate and implement advanced commercial strategies. Stay ahead of industry trends to position products for maximum competitive advantage.
- Ability to travel – 50 % travel, overnight, within Middle East and Africa.
- Must have a valid UAE driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 15kg, any other physical requirement.
