WSP is currently searching for an accomplished and experienced professional to join our team as a Specialist - Vertical Transport.

Your new role, what's involved?

• Develop innovative façade designs that meet architectural vision and project requirements.
• Analyze and select appropriate materials, systems, and technologies for façade construction.
• Create detailed drawings, specifications, and models for façade systems.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate façade solutions into overall building designs.
• Manage the timeline, budget, and resources for façade-related activities.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of façade systems on-site.
• Conduct structural analysis and performance testing of façade systems.
• Evaluate thermal, acoustic, and environmental performance of façade materials and systems.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
• Implement quality control procedures for façade design, materials, and installation.
• Perform regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to design specifications and standards.
• Address and resolve any issues or defects related to façade systems.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in façade design and construction.
• Promote and integrate sustainable design practices in façade projects.
• Explore and implement energy-efficient and environmentally friendly façade solutions.
  
  

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or specialized training in façade engineering or building envelope design is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in façade design, engineering, or construction.
• Proven track record of managing façade projects from concept to completion.
• Strong knowledge of façade materials, systems, and technologies.
• Proficiency in design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and thermal analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in both office and construction site environments.
• Must be available for site visits and occasional travel.
• Physical stamina and dexterity for inspecting façade installations.
