Barrick Africa & Middle East Exploration Team is seeking to recruit a Exploration Geologist to join and grow our team within our operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within our successful joint venture partnership with Ma’aden .

Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate must be able to work within an active and enthusiastic Exploration Department across Barrick’s KSA assets.

• Reporting to the Senior Geologist, the candidate will be accountable for assisting with the design and execution of exploration programs, provide input to strategies and systems that deliver optimal evaluation and development of potential resources within existing mines (Jabal Sayid), as well as Greenfields regional exploration and targeting within Barrick’s expanding permit holding.

• Through efficient time management, you must ensure the delivery of geological inputs into operations and assist as required in work programs to develop geological skills for future operations.

• You must be able to collate data and assist with the interpretation and development of geologic models that deliver discovery success throughout some of the most prospective geology in East Africa and the Middle East

• You must have strong technical skills and be able to take a “hands on, boots on the ground” approach.

• Assist with the execution of field programs including but not limited to Geochem sampling, AC/RC, and DDH drilling
• Contribute technical expertise to the exploration programs in specialised fields such as, but not limited to; exploration geochemistry; geological mapping; regional geological syntheses; compilation of exploration and mineral resource reports; literature reviews; and presentations within the company.
  

Qualification Requirements:

• Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Citizen

• Minimum BSc degree in Geology

Experience and Skills Requirements:

• +3 Years Experience working within the exploration industry

• Gold and Copper experience is preferred
