Executive Director - Arena

Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for an exceptional leader to assume the role of Executive Director - Arena. This pivotal position involves overseeing the strategic planning, development, and operational management of an iconic arena that will be at the heart of the Qiddiya entertainment city.

The Executive Director will play a key role in establishing the arena as a premier venue for sports, entertainment, and cultural events, ensuring it meets global standards while enhancing visitor experience. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement effective operational strategies, fostering community engagement and maximizing utilization of the arena.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall planning and management of the arena, including operational oversight, programming, and financial performance
• Develop and implement a strategic vision that positions the arena as a leading venue for diverse events, including concerts, sports, and cultural activities
• Collaborate with marketing, communications, and event teams to promote the arena and ensure successful event execution
• Manage relationships with local, national, and international event organizers to attract high-quality events and maximize facility use
• Oversee the creation of arena policies, procedures, and standards that promote safety, sustainability, and operational excellence
• Monitor and assess industry trends and audience preferences to inform programming and service offerings
• Develop and manage the annual budget for the arena, ensuring alignment with company goals and financial targets
• Work closely with facilities management to ensure the arena's infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards
• Foster a positive environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and community interaction
• Provide regular reports to senior management and stakeholders on the arena's performance and operational effectiveness
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• A minimum of 15 - 18 years of experience in arena or venue management, event planning, or a related industry, with a strong background in operational management
• Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to drive performance and lead teams effectively
• Strong understanding of the entertainment and events industry, including audience dynamics and market trends
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and partners
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events and maximizing revenue opportunities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Experience in managing budgets, contracts, and compliance regulations
