Position Description

Job Title: Business Development Manager - Events

Reporting Into: Commercial Director – KSA

Direct Reports: None

Location: Riyadh, KSA

Job Objective

Identify, develop, and secure new relevant business opportunities across events and temporary infrastructure in the KSA market. This role will drive revenue growth by building strong client relationships, increasing Arena’s market presence, and supporting the commercial strategy in alignment with the company’s goals and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business growth across KSA by identifying, targeting, and securing clients in the events, exhibitions, sports, cultural, and governmental sectors requiring temporary infrastructure solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts including event organizers, agencies, consultants, and government authorities.
  • Monitor industry trends, client developments, and competitor activity to identify potential business opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver tailored sales presentations, proposals, and tenders that align with client needs and Arena’s capabilities along with assigned Account Manager.
  • Collaborate with Account Management, Estimation, Design, and Operations teams to propose creative, feasible, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions, including temporary structures, interiors, seating, and overlay.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and close high-value deals, ensuring a smooth handover to the delivery teams.
  • Attend exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events to represent Arena and generate leads.
  • Maintain an up-to-date pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management.
  • Contribute to the achievement of revenue targets and strategic business goals by supporting commercial planning efforts.
  • Ensure all client engagements and commercial activity comply with Arena policies, ISO standards, and relevant Saudi regulations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated success in business development, lead generation, and new client acquisition, preferably within events or infrastructure-related services.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on new market opportunities.
  • Solid understanding of the KSA market landscape, especially within events and exhibitions sectors.
  • Familiarity with major sectors using temporary infrastructure in KSA (e.g., sports events, festivals, exhibitions, government-led initiatives).
  • Strong consultative selling approach with the ability to uncover client needs and match them with tailored solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop trust and credibility with senior decision-makers.
  • Proactive approach with a high level of initiative and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting techniques.
  • Valid KSA Driving License (mandatory).
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken) – mandatory
