Job Overview:
The Deputy Venue Manager supports the Venue Manager in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and professional operation of EFG's KSA Studio in Riyadh — the company's regional headquarters and flagship venue. The role acts as the day-to-day operations lead, ensuring that all facility areas are maintained, ready for use, and compliant with safety and operational standards.
This position bridges the gap between strategic oversight and hands-on delivery, coordinating staff, vendors, and clients to guarantee that all events, productions, and office activities are executed seamlessly. The Deputy Venue Manager plays a key role in managing daily workflows, supervising on-ground teams, and ensuring that EFG's standards of quality, safety, and hospitality are consistently upheld.

Reports to: VP Projects & Events and Venue Manager
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Manage all venue IT systems including network infrastructure, Wi-Fi, servers, access control, and security systems.
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV, streaming, and broadcast systems used during events.
- Support event production teams with network setup, streaming connectivity, and live event technology requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes, systems configuration, and network architecture.
- Implement cybersecurity protocols in line with EFG's global IT policies.
- Coordinate with global EFG IT to ensure consistency in systems, licensing, and data governance.
- Manage vendor relationships for IT hardware, software, and event technology rentals or purchases.
- Plan and execute IT readiness for all venue events, including pre-event testing and live monitoring.
- Maintain inventory of all IT and AV assets, ensuring timely upgrades and preventive maintenance.
- Support the integration of new technology to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and user experience.
- Collaborate closely with the Venue Manager, Facilities, and Health & Safety to ensure compliance with Saudi standards.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on proper use of IT and event systems.
- Troubleshoot urgent issues during events, ensuring minimal downtime or disruption.
- Prepare and manage IT operational budgets, forecasting needs, and tracking spend against projects.
- Contribute to venue development projects, ensuring technology design aligns with future scalability.
- Minimum 6–8 years' experience in IT management, preferably in live events, studios, or corporate infrastructure environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN), AV systems, broadcast setups, and event technology.
- Experience with esports, gaming, or live production technology is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of managing complex setups in dynamic, time-sensitive environments.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, data protection, and server administration.
- Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region preferred.
- Fluency in Arabic & English.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Hands-on technical proficiency with event and IT systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines during live operations.
- Analytical thinker with attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office, ITSM tools, and networking software.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and adaptable.
- Customer-oriented and team-focused mindset.
