ERP Application Consultant – Planning

The jobs in this level are responsible for supervising the development and maintenance of application systems for specified functional areas. Job holders use technical knowledge and experience in IT to plan and apply changes in processes and systems and input into developing appropriate solutions to the business through leading short-medium scale projects, they also supervise and train subordinates and develop their technical skills. Assist the group users in managing their budget in Oracle PBCS and provide the necessary training to enhance the system utilization. Assist the technical team for system integration and reports development. Enhance system utilization by proactively engaging users to discuss system enhancement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Implements approved departmental policies and procedures and ensure adherence with the processes implemented so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
• Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the function to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
• Supervises the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in compliance with the set policies, processes and procedures.
• Studies functional requirements and discusses needs with users in order to understand and clarify the requirements from the application system to be developed.
• Carries out detailed technical planning for the assigned areas of the development project in hand.
• Carries out system analysis and design, delegating less complex tasks to team members as part of capability building and training.
• Prepares project plan and work programmer for the team, assign tasks and responsibilities and monitors the progress of the project.
• Leads the process of system testing and ensures effective debugging.
• Implements the application software and monitor the running of the system.
• Carries out adjustments or customization to the software in line with users’ requirements.
• Trains and coaches’ subordinates to develop their application development skills and motivate them to work to their best potential.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology or any relevant field.
• A recognized certification in a related subject might be required for certain jobs.
